Continuous filtration and distillation is required to provide fresh and clear cleaning solution. Impure solution, caused by bacteria growth and residual dyes, results in clothes smelling of solvent and produces dingy colors. Because purity is so important to us, we have our solutions checked quarterly by an independent laboratory.

We perform extensive stain removal and cleaning procedures to make your garments look like new. Thoroughly experienced professionals bring their lifelong cleaning craftsmanship to your garments,\. Proper garment finishing can tolerate no shortcuts as we demand the highest of standards from our pressers. Such impeccable finishing requires hand pressing craftsmanship on each and every garment. At four different points during the cleaning process we personally inspect your garment to make sure we are adhering to your specific instructions and preferences. We really DO listen to you and attend to the smallest details for every piece that enters our facility.

Designer and Apparel Specialists (top)

Some customers use us for all their cleaning needs and others only for their designer apparel. The high percentage of designer apparel from our retail customers and the commercial work we provide to the fine apparel retailors have provided us with extensive experience with the finest of garments. TSE cashmere knits, Brioni super 180 wool suits, Armani, Versace, Chanel, Escade, Zegna (suede, hand painted silk, beaded)and beaded are an everyday experience for us. But, just because we see them everyday we still treat each garment with the gentlness and attention they deserve and that you would wish.

Unique Services (top)

You can get dry cleaning (to one degree or another) performed in almost any part of town. However, where are you going to go to have your Prada handbag cleaned safely? Purse cleaning, valance and designer drapery cleaning, reknitting of damaged knits, St. John alterations accomplished to the original finish, bed and table lines processed to the “French Laundry” standard, and true “Museum Quality” bridal gown preservation are some of the unique services we provide in house.

We know we can’t be the expert in every garment care process so we have sought out and retained the finest suppliers for those processes we currently do not have the expertise in house. We exclusively offer Reweaving for the finest of French Weaving (a superior reweaving method), Factotum shoe and leather repair (the finest leather repair house on the west coast), and Smitty’s Rug Cleaning for fine oriental rug cleaning and repair.

Proprietary Processes and Supplies (top)

We have spent many years developing the techniques necessary to handle the finest of designer apparel. Our propietary brightening bath and process are examples. Additionally, each of our cleaning machines were developed with filteration requirements specifically to meet our standards.

When we are unable to find the supplies we would like to use we develop them ourselves and have them manufactured specifically for us. Our breathable sweater bags, specialty shipping boxes prevent shifting of a suit transit, and unique zip-up garment bags (that can be used safely to store a garment with a window to see the contents) are just a few examples where we saw a need and found it necessary to develop the solution ourselves.

Exquisite Packaging (top)

Our packaging is second to none. From our proprietary breathable sweater bags to our custom tie boxes the storage of a garment is a considerable concern of ours. For example, we fold and shelve our sweaters and ties to maintain their shape. For some items we offer a variety of storage methods, tablecloths can be returned over a hanger, on a roll to produce a creasless finish, or in a special tablecloth box suitable for storage in a linen cabinet. But we can also package according to your desires. Our comprehensive computer system can maintain your desires to as much detail as you wish. If you want your jeans hung by the waist and other pants over a strut hanger, no problem you need tell us only once.

Cleaner to the Stores (top)

Margaret’s is utilized by fine retailers and department stores to take care of their garment cleaning needs. We not only take care of “shop worn” garments but consult on return and damaged goods. We have been able to save countless items that were either processed improperly at other cleaners or they just didn’t have the expertise to remove a stain. Our cooperative association with garment retailers has helped maintain the healthy growth we have experienced over the years.
